Khair Ummah Association Implements Qurbani Project in Somalia for 2024 to Support Vulnerable Families

As part of its ongoing efforts to تعزيز social solidarity and meet the basic needs of the most vulnerable communities, Khair Ummah Association carried out the Qurbani (Eid al-Adha sacrifice) project in Somalia during the 2024 Eid al-Adha season, targeting poor and deserving families across various regions.

The project comes in response to the difficult living conditions faced by many people in Somalia, where families encounter significant economic challenges that make it difficult to provide fresh meat during Eid al-Adha—especially for low-income households and those displaced due to conflict and poverty.

The initiative contributed to distributing sacrificial meat to hundreds of eligible families, enhancing food security and enabling them to celebrate Eid with dignity and joy. It also created a tangible social impact, reflecting the values of giving and solidarity during a blessed and virtuous time.

The association confirmed that the Qurbani project is part of its seasonal humanitarian programs, which aim to reach the largest possible number of families in need, alleviate suffering, and raise awareness about the importance of community participation in supporting the most vulnerable groups.

Khair Ummah Association also emphasized that such humanitarian initiatives go beyond meeting food needs; they aim to strengthen the spirit of solidarity and community engagement, making Qurbani an opportunity to restore hope and joy to deserving families in highly vulnerable environments.
